My Professional Path: From Fine Arts to Somatic Bodywork & Therapy
My journey began at an art school in Genoa, Italy—my birthplace—where I studied Fine Arts. During this time, I encountered performance art practices rooted in embodiment. This experience marked a profound turning point in my life.
Through movement, voice, and body-based practices, I became aware of my inner truth in a way I had never experienced before. I was deeply surprised by how small movements and subtle shifts in awareness could significantly impact my emotional state and overall well-being. Suppressed emotions and memories surfaced, often leaving me in intense emotional states that required days to process.
This led me to a powerful realization: for many years, my mind’s perception of myself did not align with the truth expressed by my body. From that moment on, I committed to exploring body awareness and somatic practices more deeply.
Training in Bodywork, Shiatsu, and Energy Healing
My curiosity quickly evolved into a dedicated professional path. I immersed myself in various embodiment disciplines, including yoga, embodied dance, contact improvisation, and other somatic awareness practices.
In 2013, I became a certified Shiatsu Practitioner in Lisbon, Portugal. I continued my training as a body therapist in Munich in 2014 and completed Calatonia training in Lisbon in 2015. In 2016, I expanded my practice with Reiki training.
Through these modalities, I developed the ability to work with the body on multiple levels—physical, energetic, and emotional. I learned to apply techniques that support muscles, meridians, and fascia systems, as well as gentle touch methods and even non-touch energy work, to restore balance and well-being.
Movement, Embodiment & Consciousness
In 2016, I met Vera Eva Ham, whose work with Matridança deeply influenced my path. Her approach combines movement, dance, ancestral practices, and butoh, focusing on the body as a gateway to inner awareness and transformation.
Through this work, I discovered how movement directly influences physiological processes and states of consciousness. By learning to move from within—allowing the body to become a receptive and expressive container—I connected with my authentic movement.
This process supported me in making grounded decisions, strengthening my creativity, and cultivating a deeper sense of peace within myself, my ancestry, and my environment.
Academic Studies & Bodynamic Therapy
Alongside my early professional experiences, I completed my Master of Arts in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. During this period, I began my training as a Bodynamic Practitioner, dedicating over four years to the study of developmental trauma and its manifestation in the body.
This training provided an in-depth understanding of how approximately 160 muscles and fascia systems relate to psychological development, ego structure, and relational patterns. I explored how physical, emotional, social, and mental dimensions are interconnected and expressed through the body.
Archetypes, Personal Development & Spiritual Growth
My master’s thesis explored seven archetypes that emerge throughout human development. This research introduced a spiritual dimension to my work, integrating psychological and somatic understanding with personal evolution.
Each archetype represents a stage of growth, containing both dualistic aspects (light and shadow) and a transformative potential, a third aspect that permit growth. By recognizing and integrating these polarities, transformation becomes possible.
These archetypal processes continue to inform my approach, supporting clients in navigating their own paths of growth and self-discovery.
Recent Training & Current Focus
As my work evolved, I became increasingly interested in systemic and transgenerational dynamics. In 2023, I completed training in Family Constellations, deepening my understanding of inherited patterns and relational systems.
I have since continued to refine my focus on body-based therapy, completing additional training in somatic release techniques. Currently, I am undertaking foundation training in Biodynamic Psychotherapy with Ebba Boysen (2025).
My Approach Today
Today, my work integrates bodywork, somatic therapy, movement, and energetic practices. I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, releasing stored tension and trauma, and cultivating greater awareness, balance, and authenticity.
